California Woman Puts 70-lb. Dog in Duffel Bag and Flees Wildfires on Her Bike

Natasha Wallace grabbed a duffel bag and used it as a makeshift sidecar for her 70-pound best friend.Wildfire forced her to flee her California home on a bicycle early Monday morning ,As she drove home from an all-night study session around 2 am, college student Natasha Wallace saw the flames from the freeway and knew that her home would be right in their path.

She knew that she had to evacuate – but not before getting her dog, Bentley.The two got in the car and headed on their way, but it wasn’t long before they got stuck in traffic. With the fires spreading, Wallace realized that they’d never get out of town in time, and formulated another plan: she’d evacuate on her bike.
